In a significant development for the travel and tourism sector, UAE Minister of Economy,
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, held a crucial meeting with Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, the
Indonesian Minister of Tourism, to explore ways to enhance tourism cooperation between the
two nations. The meeting, which took place on November 22, 2024, focused on increasing
mutual tourism flows, fostering stronger economic and cultural ties, and further strengthening
the long-standing partnership between the UAE and Indonesia.

During the meeting, Minister Al Marri emphasized the importance of the tourism sector as a
key driver of economic relations between the two countries. He highlighted the historical and
strategic partnership that has existed for many years across various sectors, noting the
positive progress made in the bilateral collaboration, especially in the tourism industry.
The UAE has been a long-standing partner for Indonesia, and this meeting reflected the
