The UAE and Albania officials after the meeting in Tirana.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Republic of Albania have strengthened their economic
partnership with the launch of their inaugural Joint Economic Committee (JEC). The meeting, held in
Tirana, marks a new chapter in bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries,
focusing on priority sectors including renewable energy, logistics, infrastructure, agriculture, food
security, and technology.
The meeting was co-chaired by His Excellency Dr Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of
State for Foreign Trade, and Her Excellency Belinda Balluku, Albania’s Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, with the participation of senior officials and private sector
representatives from both countries including Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Albania;
Juma Al Kait, UAE Assistant Undersecretary for International Trade Affairs; HE Blendi Gonxhja,
