Papoyan emphasized that tourism is one of the key sectors of Armenia's economic development, the
potential of which remains untapped.
The minister highlighted medical tourism as one of the most promising areas of the sector. In this
context, he suggested considering the possibility of jointly organizing an International Medical
Tourism Conference with UNWTO.
The discussion also touched upon the development of tourism clusters in Armenia, the steady
growth of tourist flows to the country, the promotion of wine tourism, digitalization of the sector
and the diversification of tourism products.
