                   Dubai Municipality transforms Old Municipal Street into


                                   vibrant pedestrian tourist corridor




                     Converting Deira's old municipal street into a pedestrian tourist corridor is aimed at

                      offering a  novel experience to  visitors while improving accessibility  between the

                      historic and commercial areas




               Al Hajri: The first phase of the comprehensive plan for the development of the old area of

               Deira and Bur Dubai has been successfully completed, preserving the important historical

               and commercial area and enhancing its attractiveness.

               Dubai Municipality has successfully completed the Old Municipal Street project in


               Deira, marking a significant transformation from a traditional thoroughfare to a

               bustling commercial pedestrian tourist pass.  Stretching from the Ras area to the

               renowned Gold Market, this revitalized street promises an immersive journey into

               the heart of Dubai’s rich heritage.
