UAE, Ireland sign MoU to enhance economic and

technical cooperation

Trade between the two countries reached $1.1 billion in 2024

Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi and Niamh Smyth sign the agreement.

The UAE and Ireland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing
economic and technical cooperation and the establishment of a joint economic commission
between the UAE and Ireland.

Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Niamh Smyth, Ireland Minister
for Trade Promotion, AI and Digital Transformation, signed the agreement. The signing is part of a
broader effort to drive mutual economic growth and increase private sector engagement between
the two nations.
