UAE, Türkiye hold 2nd session of Joint

Economic and Trade Commission in Abu Dhabi

emirates7 -The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Türkiye recently held the

second session of the Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) in Abu Dhabi,

aimed at deepening trade and economic ties between the two nations.

This latest meeting built on the momentum from the inaugural session in Istanbul in
2023 and supported the objectives of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership

Agreement (CEPA), which officially came into effect on 1st September 2023.

Co-chaired by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign

Trade, and Ömer Bolat, Türkiye’s Minister of Trade, the session marked continued
progress in bilateral relations since the CEPA's implementation and the launch of

JETCO.
