                                    initiative as a continuation of the nation’s commitment to honoring

                                    its senior citizens and recognizing their invaluable contributions to
                                    the UAE’s development. He highlighted that “Barakatna” reflects

                                    the country’s deep appreciation for their sacrifices and reaffirms

                                    their role as pillars of society, whose wisdom and experience guide
                                    future generations.


                                    The initiative will establish an integrated system of community
                                    services to support daily life for seniors and their caregivers, foster

                                    family unity, and help caregivers balance personal, professional, and

                                    social responsibilities.


                                    Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan endorsed the
                                    initiative’s six key services, which will be delivered in collaboration

                                    with various Abu Dhabi entities, including the Abu Dhabi Housing

                                    Authority and the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

                                    These services include a Temporary Alternative Care program for

                                    senior citizens when family members are unable to provide support,

                                    a Home Improvements initiative to enhance caregiving facilities,
                                    and extended housing loan repayment terms to ease financial

                                    pressures.


                                    The initiative also offers flexible work arrangements for caregivers,
                                    enabling families to better balance caregiving duties with their

                                    professional commitments.
