Organized by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) in collaboration with
the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman, the campaign marks

the start of a nationwide initiative spanning all seven Emirates and
concluding on December 14.

This year, the campaign aligns with the “Year of Sustainability,” reaffirming

its role as the largest community-driven environmental movement in the
UAE.

“Al Tallah 1” area of Ajman served as the launch site, where 1,210 volunteers

equipped with cotton gloves, biodegradable garbage bags, and eco-
friendly gear joined forces to clean a 5-square-kilometer stretch.

Their efforts resulted in the collection of 1,750 kilograms of waste, including
345 kilograms of recyclable materials like paper, plastic, and scrap metal,

which were segregated for recycling.

In the opening remarks, Ms. Habiba Al Mar’ashi, Co-Founder and
Chairperson of EEG, emphasized that, “The Clean UAE campaign is a

national movement to raise awareness about the dangers of waste and
pollution and their impact on human health and biodiversity.” She
