        A selection of 8 public Dubai beaches will be reserved exclusively for families during Eid Al Adha.



        Over the public holiday in June, Dubai Municipality confirmed that the beaches will be families-only to
        ensure they are able to access it easily.


        Announced on Friday, Khor Al-Mamzar Beach, Cornish Al-Mamzar, Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah
        3, Umm Suqeim 1, Umm Suqeim 2 and Jebel Ali Beach will all be reserved for families during the Eid
        Al Adha holiday.

        Speaking about the decision, Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of Public Beaches and Water
        Canals Department at Dubai Municipality, said the decision was to provide family members with a
        unique opportunity to enjoy Dubai’s top tourist destinations.


        A team of 65 field supervisors will oversee beach operations on the selected sites during the Eid
        holiday, as well as a team of 140 covering safety and rescue along the coast.






        The official dates of the public holiday are still yet to be confirmed, however the first day of the Eid
        holiday is expected to fall on Sunday, June 16.



        To confirm the start of Eid Al Adha in the UAE, the crescent of the next Islamic month has to be seen
        by the Emirates Astronomy Society.
