The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) provided copies of the ‘Alghani
Azzahir’ Dictionary to the Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) for distribution at schools, in accordance
with the UAE’s Reading Month. Under the guidance of His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the

MBRF, Dr. Abdelghani Ahmed Abou el Aazm authored the dictionary, which adds substantial value to the
Arabic knowledge repository by broadening its vocabulary and expanding its linguistic significance.

This initiative is a result of the MBRF’s commitment to bolstering the strong knowledge foundation of the
Arabic language, broadening readers’ perspectives, and improving their vocabulary and understanding of its

nuances. It also seeks to support initiatives aimed at building a community that is proficient in the Arabic
language and its grammar. As a result, this dictionary includes terms that are frequently used and widely
accepted, including common, loanwords, and coined terms, to reach Arabic language readers in different
countries.

The ‘Alghani Azzahir’ Dictionary stands out for its comprehensive coverage of both ancient and

contemporary Arabic vocabulary. The dictionary incorporates vocabulary from literature and journalism,
offering interpretations and implications in both literal and figurative contexts. The dictionary also
