Dubai SLC Secretary General Highlights Youth Empowerment On

International Youth Day

H.E. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC), has
underscored the vital role of young people in driving socio-economic development, marking International Youth Day with a renewed call to
empower future generations.

In his statement, H.E. Al Muhairi described the day as a reminder of the importance of engaging youth as “key partners” in shaping the future,
while also addressing the challenges that may hinder their growth. He stressed the need to provide young people with the tools, skills, and
opportunities necessary for their success.
He noted that since its founding, the United Arab Emirates has adopted a development model that places youth at the heart of national
progress, in line with the vision of its leadership. This commitment, he said, is reflected in strategies designed to empower young citizens,
enhance their contributions on the global stage, and equip them with ambition, determination, and knowledge.

On the occasion of International Youth Day, H.E. Al Muhairi expressed pride in the SLC’s young professionals, commending their role in
advancing Dubai’s legislative ecosystem. He reaffirmed the Committee’s commitment to nurturing their capabilities, enriching their knowledge,
and supporting their professional development to promote institutional excellence and strengthen the emirate’s legislative leadership.
