Miqyas Al Dhad is an innovative data-driven framework designed to advance the literacy skills of Arabic
speakers across the Arab world. It will provide a universal unit of measurement for the Arabic language,
assessing both text complexity and student reading ability. It is being developed by Alef Education in
partnership with MetaMetrics®, the US-based developer of the renowned Lexile® Framework for Reading.
