The UAE’s civil aviation sector marked significant milestones during 2024, with both passenger traffic and air cargo volumes
reaching new heights. According to the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), passenger traffic rose by 10 percent to
147.8 million, up from 134 million in 2023. The growth in air cargo was even more impressive, with a 17.8 percent increase,
reaching 4.36 million tons compared to 3.7 million tons last year.
