UAE Ministry Of Sports Launches Youth Council To Empower

Emirati Talent In Shaping National Sports Policies

The Ministry of Sports has announced the formation of its Youth Council, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the participation of young
Emiratis in the development of sports policies and initiatives. The launch coincides with International Youth Day, underlining the Ministry’s
commitment to empowering youth and fostering their role as future leaders in the UAE’s sports sector.

His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, described the establishment of the Council as a pivotal step towards engaging
young talent in shaping the future of national sports. “This initiative reflects our dedication to harnessing the energy and creativity of Emirati
youth, enabling them to actively participate in decision-making and contribute to the growth of our sports ecosystem. It aligns with the
objectives of the National Sports Strategy 2031 and the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision,” he said.

The Youth Council is part of the broader Youth Councils program managed by the Federal Youth Authority. It aims to stimulate innovation by
encouraging new ideas, fostering stronger communication between young professionals and leadership, and creating a collaborative work
environment within the Ministry. The Council also supports the Ministry’s mission to achieve institutional excellence in line with the Sheikh
        Khalifa Government Excellence Program (SKGEP).

Comprising a select group of distinguished young professionals, the Council is chaired by Hamad Hassan Rashid Al Jarwan, with Dr.
Mansoor Darwish Ahmad Al Shezawi as Vice Chair. Other members include Abdulrahman Ahmed Abdulla Al Mansoori, Hamad Mohammed
Hussein Al Jasmi, Fatima Majid Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Mohammed Khalifa Ali Mohamed Al Qamzi, and Duaij Khalifa Saeed Al Dhanhani.

Hamad Al Jarwan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Council, noting that it represents a commitment to ensuring youth
voices are heard in policy-making. “We aim to play an active role in advancing the sports sector through innovative proposals, strengthening
collaboration across all divisions, and conveying the aspirations of young athletes to the Ministry’s leadership,” he said.

The establishment of the Youth Council reflects the Ministry’s long-term vision of investing in national talent. By providing institutional
platforms for youth engagement, the Ministry seeks to develop a generation of skilled professionals capable of leading and transforming the
UAE’s sports sector in the years to come.
