ABU DHABI: The Min istr y of Sp orts has launche d the Youth Coun cil - a premier pla form
d esig ne d to increase the involve ment of young tal ent in driv ing pro g ress w ithin the nat ional
sp orts se c tor.

The announce ment of the coun cil’s form a t ion coin cid es w ith Inter na t ional Youth Day, af firm ing
its com mit ment to the dir e ct ives of the w ise lead er ship and in line w ith its for ward-lo ok ing vis -
ion to emp ower Emir at i youth and sup p ort them to b e come future lead ers in vari ous fields.

Dr. Ahmad B el houl A l Falasi, Min is ter of Sp orts, announce d that the estab lish ment of the Youth
Coun cil w ithin the Min istr y of Sp orts rep res ents a stra teg ic step towards streng th en ing youth
p ar t i cip a t ion in shap ing the future of nat ional sp orts, refle ct ing the Min istr y ’s con fid ence in the
vital role young p e ople play in achiev ing excel lence and sus tain ab il ity in this se c tor.

young Emir at i men and women and to provid ing inst i tu t ional pla forms that enable them to take

alig n ment w ith the obje ct ives of the Nat ional Sp orts Strateg y 2031 and the ‘ We the UAE 2031’
vis ion.”
The form a t ion of the Youth Coun cil und er scores the Min istr y ’s strong b elief in the cru cial role of
youth p ar t i cip a t ion in d esig n ing sp orts p olicies and d evel op mental pro g rams. It also refle cts the
Min istr y ’s com mit ment to invest ing in human cap ital, in alig n ment w ith the go als of ‘ We the

UAE 2031’ vis ion to build a brighter future for the coun tr y ’s sp orts se c tor. In addi t ion, the Coun cil
sup p orts the Min istr y ’s mis sion to achieve inst i tu t ional excel lence in line w ith the Sheikh Khal -
ifa G ov ern ment Excel lence Pro g ram (SKGEP), pro mot ing col lab or a t ion across gov ern ment

ent it ies to advance nat ional obje ct ives. This ini t i at ive is p art of the bro ad er Youth Coun cils pro -
g ram man age d by the Fe d eral Youth Author ity.
The Youth Coun cil aims to emp ower youth w ithin nat ional sp orts inst i tu t ions and pro mote
innov a t ion by sup p ort ing ne w id eas and ini t i at ives that drive pro g ress in the se c tor, in line w ith
the coun tr y ’s ambi t ious sp orts vis ion. The Coun cil also plays a key role in enhan cing internal

engage ment by estab lish ing ef fe ct ive com mu nic a t ion chan nels b et we en young employ e es and
senior lead er ship, help ing to build a work envir on ment that is col lab or at ive and sup p orts op en
dia logue.
