Sociological Association explores digital age

Sharjah 24: As part of its ongoing cultural programme and commitment to addressing
contemporary societal transformations, the Sociological Association held a specialized virtual
scientific symposium titled "Digital Sociology." The event was led by Dr Inaam Yousef, Associate
Professor of Sociology at Ajman University and a member of the Association
Opening remarks highlight the importance of digital awareness
The symposium, held virtually yesterday evening, was moderated by Dr Mohammed Hamdan Bin
Jarsh, member of the Association’s Board of Directors and Head of the Cultural Committee. In his
opening remarks, he underscored the need to keep pace with rapid digital changes and their wide-
reaching impact on both current and future societies.
Strong academic participation enhances scientific dialogue
The event attracted significant attendance, including Board members, association members,
researchers, and sociologists interested in the evolving digital landscape. The rich discussions
reflected a strong scientific tone, with experts engaging deeply with the presented concepts.
