Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, emphasised the importance of research in their
mission: "Research is one of the key pillars of our mission and the cornerstone of our vision to
nurture a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy." He highlighted AU's commitment to
fostering researchers who connect theory with practice.

Commitment to National Development Goals

Dr. Seghir also noted AU's alignment with national development goals: "As a non-profit institution,
all our resources are utilised to strengthen the research environment... aligned with national
development goals." He mentioned that AU aligns its research programs with 'UAE Vision 2071' and
national agendas for innovation.
