You can also suggest names under classifications such as the names of squares, forts, ancient
jewellery, inventions and modern technology.

For example, the names of roads in the new Al-Khawaneej 2 area included names inspired by local
trees, plants, and flowers, such as Ghaf Street. Ghaf is one of the most famous types of local trees,
which will be between the first and second Al-Khawaneej areas.

Additionally, other names of trees were also used for streets such as Sidr, Reehan, Faghi, Samer, and
Shareesh.

Aiming to revive heritage as well as reflect future developments, the proposal system is a pretty cool
way to leave your mark on the city.

Speaking about the new road naming proposals, H.E. Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai
Municipality, Chairman of the Dubai Road Naming Committee said:
