provide interactive and immersive learning experiences that allow students to explore
climate-related concepts in more engaging ways. Through digital simulations and virtual
reality, students can experience the effects of climate change firsthand, developing an
in-depth understanding and empathy for environmental issues. Platforms such as
the WWF Together app created by the World Wildlife Fund, Climate Kids, an initiative
by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Explorer Classroom, launched by National
Geographic Education, have enabled these immersive learning experiences for students.

Fostering a culture of collaboration on a global scale among students and educators
interested in climate change education promotes a sense of shared responsibility and
collective action. Initiatives such as the Global Schools Program, the Climate Action
Project and the Global Youth Climate Network aim to promote knowledge sharing and
interdisciplinary learning among students and educators worldwide. Promoting peer
collaboration and global connections encourages young people to take collective action
to mitigate and adapt to climate change.

Beyond formal education, it is important to understand and recognize the role of
guardians in educating and empowering children on climate change. They can instill a
sense of responsibility, awareness and action in their children by discussing
environmental issues and sharing positive stories and examples. This proactive
engagement at home reinforces a sense of ecological responsibility and instills a lifelong
               commitment to sustainable practices.

Bridging the digital divide is vital to give everyone equal access to technology-enabled
climate change education. Infrastructure development, affordable devices and
connectivity and digital literacy training are critical steps to bridge this gap and enable
students from diverse backg rounds to participate in climate education through
               technology.

In addressing today’s complex challenges, integrating climate education with EdTech
can be pivotal in nurturing the next generation of environmental leaders. We can
empower students to advocate for environmental sustainability by promoting a
comprehensive understanding of climate issues, encouraging active participation and
fostering collaborative learning. The commitment of governments, educators, EdTech
companies and various organizations to these initiatives is a testament to our collective
dedication to creating a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come.
