As part of ‘Empowerment and Sustainability of Sports Talents’ transformational initiative

GAS launches ‘Sports Talent’ platform to discover and

empower promising sports talents in UAE

>> His Excellency Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri: With the ‘Sports Talent’ platform, the
initiative seeks to widen the base of sports engagement for skilled individuals and promise
their sustainable development, thus continuously boosting the UAE’s sports landscape.

>>H.E. Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum: Through this platform we aim to develop a
vast database of sports talents and enhance their capabilities as the platform is open to
all young talents, regardless of if they are participating in sporting events or not.

● The ‘Sports Talents’ platform is solely dedicated to identifying 1500 promising
sports talents and providing them with vital support in alignment with the ‘We
the UAE 2031’ vision and the National Sports Strategy 2031.

● The online platform serves as an innovative tool designed to gather data and
insights about sports talents, starting from the initial registration phase and
continuing through the empowerment phase, to direct their capabilities towards
the right course.
● The platform aims to discover sports talents within different age categories as well
as to track and record initiatives and programs designed for talent identification
and empowerment in sports, with an aim to increasing the number of participants

in these programs.
● The ‘Empowerment and Sustainability of Sports Talents’ transformational
project integrates seamlessly with the “Talents” project through the platform and
cultivates a competitive sports environment that supports the growth and
empowerment of talents.

UAE, 02 August 2024- The General Authority of Sports (GAS) recently launched the ‘Sports
Talents’ platforms as a vital part of the ‘Empowerment and Sustainability of Sports Talents’
project. The online platform is developed to identify 1500 promising new sports talents and
offer them the necessary support needed to develop, cultivate and empower their capabilities.
The initiative, which is in line with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, aims to create an inclusive
and encouraging environment in the field of sports for the Emirati community.
