The agreement comes in line with the shared goals of both parties to foster culture and knowledge among children
and adolescents by offering rich and diverse resources that nurture a habit of reading and exploration.
Additionally, it aims to cultivate a passion for learning and a spirit of discovery, empowering young readers to
unlock their potential, expand their imagination and instil meaningful values. This, in turn, nurtures their character
development and equips them with the confidence and resilience required to successfully navigate the future.
His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism
Development, said: “We are excited to partner with Kalimat Group, a leading institution that aligns with our
belief that supporting the development of young children is an investment for a prosperous future. Reading holds a
vital role in enhancing critical and creative thinking skills, opening new avenues of knowledge and culture.
Through this collaboration, we aim to support meaningful literary production that enriches Arabic content for
children, reinforces their cultural identity and instils positive values that empower them to contribute towards a
prosperous future.”
H.E. Alhashmi added: “We are dedicated to supporting projects that strengthen Ajman’s position as a hub for
culture and knowledge. We hope that the story of ‘Baba Hameed’ will give a unique experience to children that
stimulates their imagination and encourages them to explore and learn through an engaging and innovative
method.”
Ahmed Abdul Salam Al Ali, General Manager of Kalimat Group, said: “This agreement embodies Kalimat
Group’s dedication to fostering culture and spreading knowledge. It further underscores our commitment to
providing children and adolescents with greater opportunities to learn, explore and embrace opportunities to create
a brighter future. It also reflects our commitment to forging alliances with local and international organisations, in
line with our mission to provide children and adolescents—especially those with limited access—the chance to
discover a wide selection of books and reading materials across different subjects and genres, both within the Arab
world and globally.”
This agreement complements ADTD’s efforts to nurture a culture of reading and knowledge among younger
generations as part of Ajman’s vision of becoming a leading cultural hub that supports talented youth. The
partnership highlights the importance of collaboration between cultural and tourism institutions in creating a
lasting and sustainable impact on society while fostering intellectual and cultural growth of future generations.
