The signing was witnessed by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy, and the

agreement was signed by the Ministry, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al -Muaini, Assistant
Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Sector, while it was signed by Nissan, Terry Sabbagh, Vice
President and Director General of Nissan Middle East.

This 3 -year cooperation comes within the framework of the two parties ’keenness to create an
environment in support of innovation and creativity, and to provide full protection for intellectual

property rights, through the implementation of community awareness initiatives aimed at spreading a
culture of intellectual property rights, and raising awareness of the importance of its respect and
positive impact on stimulating Development and innovation in various sectors.

His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy, stressed that the UAE, thanks to the
vision and directives of its wise leadership, has succeeded in developing an integrated system to
protect intellectual property rights, according to international best practices, as it is an essential pillar

in building a knowledge economy based on creativity and innovation based on successful partnerships
