Badr Jafar, Special Envoy for Business and Philanthropy in the UAE, addressed philanthropy's evolving role in a session titled
"Redefining Philanthropy: New Models for Global Impact". He stressed that philanthropy should extend beyond traditional charity by

investing in long-term change through financial capital, expertise, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

Jafar noted that with an estimated US$2 trillion deployed annually in philanthropic capital and a significant intergenerational wealth
transfer underway, there is an unprecedented opportunity to redefine philanthropy’s role in shaping global development. The UAE is
uniquely positioned as a hub for philanthropic action due to its ability to convene diverse stakeholders.

The summit also highlighted the need for innovative solutions to societal challenges. Strengthened international development

initiatives are essential for leveraging government agencies', private institutions', and international organisations' combined
capacities across key humanitarian areas.

The UAE National Experts Program was presented as a pioneering model enriching national priorities and global trends. It focuses
on optimising human capital investment by developing participants' necessary skills innovatively. This adaptable programme

supports creating solutions for potential future challenges.

The event concluded with an emphasis on empowering people and driving progress across all life aspects through innovative
global models. By fostering collaboration among various stakeholders, these efforts aim to amplify impact and drive systemic
progress for future generations.
