UAE hands over presidency of 115th Arab Economic and Social Council to
Bahrain

The UAE has handed over the presidency of preparatory meetings for the 115th session of the Arab Economic and
Social Council to Bahrain.

According to Amac News, The meetings began on Sunday at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat, where the
Social Committee met to prepare a draft agenda for the social file of the session.

The UAE delegation was led by Juma Mohammed Al-Keit, Undersecretary of the Minister of Economic Affairs for Foreign Trade
Affairs, and several other officials from the Ministry of Economy.
In his opening speech, Al-Keit noted that during its presidency of the 114th session of the Economic and Social Council, the UAE

has been committed to supporting and supporting various Arab efforts to advance social progress and contribute to inclusive and
sustainable development.
He stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts to implement the decisions of the 114th session of the Economic and Social

Council, which serve as a fundamental pillar and a roadmap for achieving common goals in economic and social development.
Al-Keith announced that the presidency of the session would be formally handed over to Bahrain and wished the country success.
The draft agenda of the Social Committee includes reviewing the implementation of the decisions of the 114th session of the

Economic and Social Council and the activities of the General Secretariat between the 114th and 115th sessions.
In addition, the draft agenda addresses the social aspects of the economic and social dossier for the 34th ordinary session of the
Arab League Council at the Heads of State level, which is scheduled to be held in Iraq.
