The Ministry of Culture has unveiled a comprehensive initiative
aimed at instilling national pride and cultural values in students
throughout the country. The National Framework for Emirati
Cultural Activities, which will be implemented in schools

nationwide, seeks to bolster national identity, promote cultural
understanding, and nurture positive character traits among young
                                                        Emiratis.

Designed as an educational tool, the framework will be integrated
into the school curriculum, focusing on engaging students with
the rich traditions and heritage of the UAE. It aims to ensure the
preservation of Emirati culture while fostering a sense of unity
and national pride. The Ministry’s plan is not only to educate

young people about their history but also to inspire them to take

                                                        active roles in cultural preservation.

Key to the framework’s objectives is the strengthening of students' awareness of their heritage, encouraging a deep
respect for Emirati traditions and values. This aligns with broader national efforts to cultivate a stronger sense of
national identity, particularly as the country moves towards its Vision 2030 goals. Experts have long argued that
cultural education plays a pivotal role in shaping future generations, and this new framework seeks to address that.

Through this initiative, schools will incorporate various cultural activities, ranging from literature and arts to traditional
sports and music, ensuring that students are exposed to a diverse array of Emirati cultural expressions. The
curriculum will also emphasise the importance of moral values, responsibility, and community involvement,

empowering students to become conscientious citizens committed to their country’s heritage.

The government has worked closely with educators and cultural experts to design a curriculum that is both modern
and reflective of the UAE’s traditions. The framework will feature a wide range of practical and interactive activities
that are expected to resonate with today’s students. Teachers will be provided with the necessary resources and
training to implement the framework effectively, ensuring that the cultural content is not only informative but also
        engaging.

The initiative includes collaboration with cultural institutions and community leaders, bringing in experts to help shape

the activities and lessons. Local museums, heritage sites, and cultural centres will play an important role in providing
students with immersive learning experiences that complement the classroom teachings. By creating these
partnerships, the Ministry aims to ensure that cultural education is not confined to textbooks but is experienced
