Giga Computing Joins OCP Global Summit and Debuts New OCP-based
GIGABYTE Server
PRESS RELEASE by Nomad76 Oct 13th, 2025 21:55 Discuss (0 Comments)
Giga Computing, a subsidiary of GIGABYTE and an industry leader in enterprise hardware and advanced
cooling solutions, today announced its participation in the OCP Global Summit and the launch of its new
GIGABYTE TO86-SD1 based on the NVIDIA HGX B200 platform. Built on the OCP ORv3 standard, the
system combines breakthrough performance with an energy-efficient design to meet the demands of
large-scale AI training, inference, and HPC workloads. With support for the powerful NVIDIA Blackwell
GPU, this next-generation platform empowers enterprises and research organizations to accelerate
innovation, scale seamlessly, and unlock new possibilities in AI.
What to Expect at GIGABYTE Booth #A57
The 2025 OCP Global Summit (Oct. 13-16) is the first opportunity to display and introduce this new OCP-
based GPU server. The new GIGABYTE TO86 Series is designed to support 8-GPU OAM baseboards
that are ideal for their performance and scalability and are used by hyperscalers, sovereign data centers,
and specialized AI cloud providers. Also featured at the GIGABYTE booth is the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72
platform, a liquid-cooled, rack-scale design with dense performance in a platform optimized for test-time
scaling inference. Alongside this platform for AI factories is the GIGABYTE XL44-SX2, an NVIDIA RTX
PRO Server featuring NVIDIA ConnectX-8 SuperNICs. These products are a testament to the breadth of
accelerated computing solutions using standardized designs, including ones inspired by OCP.
Introducing the GIGABYTE TO86-SD1
The TO86 Series was launched due to the high demand for GPU accelerated solutions. Based on the
NVIDIA HGX platform, GIGABYTE has already launched rackmount air-cooled 8U servers and liquid-
cooled 4U servers. Bringing new OCP-based GPU server options allow tier-2 cloud providers and others
to have excellent accelerated performance while focusing on cost savings and efficiency.
Features of the TO86-SD1:
GPU acceleration: NVIDIA HGX B200 platform featuring 8x NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs with 1.4 TB of
HBM3E memory
CPU: 2x Intel Xeon 6700/6500-series processors
Networking: Front access to 12x expansion slots, compatible with NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPUs and
NVIDIA ConnectX-7 NICs
Storage: Front access to 8x 2.5" Gen 5 NVMe hot-swap bays
OS Compatibility: Windows Server, RHEL, Ubuntu, Citrix, VMware ESXi, and more
Giga Computing's presence at the OCP Global Summit, and upcoming showcases at NVIDIA GTC
Washington, D.C. 2025 (Oct. 27-29) and SC25 (Nov. 18-20), highlights its drive to deliver open, scalable,
and efficient accelerated computing solutions. By pairing NVIDIA innovations with OCP-inspired designs,
Giga Computing empowers enterprises, hyperscalers, and research institutions to meet the toughest AI
and HPC demands. With the launch of the GIGABYTE TO86-SD1 and a broad GPU-optimized portfolio,
Giga Computing reinforces its role as a trusted leader in fueling the next wave of AI breakthroughs.
