to enhance and strengthen emergency and crisis response system in Abu Dhabi

                   Dubai, UAE, 17 October 2024:
The Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi (ADCMC)
introduced the ‘Training and Exercise System’ as part of the ‘Crisis Management Platform’
during its participation in the GITEX 2024 exhibition. The move aims to improve
preparedness and response by providing specialised training programs and simulating joint
exercises for emergency, crisis, and disaster management operations.

The system is divided into two major components – the ‘Specialised Training Platform’,
and ‘Exercise and Evaluation Platform’. The system aims to enhance emergency, crisis,
and disaster management by offering specialised training programs that help to develop
and build capacity for crisis resilience. It also seeks to improve collaboration among
different stakeholders in order to ensure timely and effective response in the event of an
emergency, as well as to strengthen the crisis management capabilities of government and
private organisations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. This is accomplished through an
automated system that makes it easier to organise training courses and workshops, as well
as to design, implement, evaluate, and monitor improvements to raise stakeholder
                   preparedness.

By offering an integrated training and exercise environment, the system further helps to
improve communication and coordination between different stakeholders to enhance joint
preparedness. This approach is designed to improve efficiency in responding to crises,
emergencies, and disasters. Using cutting-edge simulation tools, the system creates
realistic exercise experiences, evaluates the needs for exercise planning, and tracks the
possibilities for improvements, which are all supported by an integrated database.

His Excellency Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director General of Emergencies, Crises and
Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi, said: "The launch of this system reflects our
commitment to supporting Abu Dhabi Government vision of establishing the Emirate as a
leader in emergency and crisis management. Through the provision of a comprehensive
and diverse training system, the Centre aims to improve the joint preparedness and
flexibility of various stakeholders, thereby strengthening crisis response and ensuring
                   public safety.”
