Space debris poses huge risks and safety threats to the existing space

systems and activities since it may cause a collision with other space

stations, satellites, or any other equipment. Therefore, it is necessary

to explore and implement innovative ways to reduce debris hazards

for sustainable future space operations. Governments, space

agencies, and other institutions are funding or implementing their

own initiatives to advance space sustainability, outside of multilateral

        efforts.

Speaking about the event, Imran Malik, Senior Vice President of

Enterprise EMEA & APAC at SES, said: “For more than 35 years,

SES has introduced new innovations in the satellite communications

industry to meet evolving customer needs. This year, SES is

introducing its second-generation medium earth orbit constellation.

When operational later this year, O3b mPOWER will deliver

networks comprising the industry’s best throughput, predictable

performance, high availability, and flexibility to address the

connectivity requirements of the new cities that are being built in the

region. Additionally, as part of our ESG ambitions, we have declared

our commitment to sustainable space where we want to collaborate

on best practices so that space continues to be a resource for

delivering extraordinary solutions to address the challenges on earth.

Our participation in CABSAT 2023 will give us an opportunity to
