Space debris poses huge risks and safety threats to the existing space
systems and activities since it may cause a collision with other space
stations, satellites, or any other equipment. Therefore, it is necessary
to explore and implement innovative ways to reduce debris hazards
for sustainable future space operations. Governments, space
agencies, and other institutions are funding or implementing their
own initiatives to advance space sustainability, outside of multilateral
efforts.
Speaking about the event, Imran Malik, Senior Vice President of
Enterprise EMEA & APAC at SES, said: “For more than 35 years,
