        4. In what ways has Fugro contributed to reducing environmental impact and

enhancing sustainability in subsea operations in the Middle East?

In 2022, we introduced the Blue Essence® USV to the region. The USV, equipped with an
eROV, has revolutionised inspection capabilities and yielded significant environmental and

operational benefits. This includes a remarkable 95% reduction in CO2 emissions due to
minimised fuel consumption and the removal of up to 30 personnel from offshore roles,
dramatically decreasing the environmental footprint of subsea operations.

Beyond reducing emissions, this shift towards uncrewed systems emphasises our

commitment to sustainability by enhancing safety and reducing the potential for human-
related environmental disturbances. By integrating these advanced technologies, Fugro not

only sets a new standard for eco-friendly practices in the industry but also aligns with global
sustainability goals, demonstrating our dedication to pioneering environmentally responsible
solutions for subsea operations in the Middle East.

        5. Can Fugro’s experience with subsea inspection in other regions, like Australia and

Scotland, be applied to projects in the Middle East, and if so, how?
