H.E. Alia Al Mazrouei participated in a ministerial panel session titled ‘Building Bridges of
Innovation: Ministerial Dialogue on the Intersection of AI, Policies, and Global Economic
Growth.’ It was also attended by several senior government officials from European countries,
including H.E. Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate of
the Republic of Albania; H.E. Jan Kavalírek, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech
Republic; and H.E. Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable
Development of Georgia. The discussion centered on global trends in leveraging AI technologies
to drive inclusive economic growth and support sustainable digital transformation.
During her intervention, Her Excellency highlighted the UAE’s experience in investing in AI
technologies, noting that the country has adopted an integrated approach to harnessing AI in the
development of its entrepreneurial ecosystem. This includes enhancing digital infrastructure,
modernizing the national economic framework to incorporate AI applications, and offering
specialized training programs to build national talent - all aimed at fostering inclusive growth and
empowering SMEs and entrepreneurs to actively contribute to the future economy.
Her Excellency stated that the UAE’s approach balances accelerating digital transformation with
promoting economic inclusion by equipping emerging companies with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
tools and implementing supportive regulatory policies alongside flexible financing initiatives,
thereby creating greater opportunities for SMEs to grow and innovate.
UAE - German roundtable
Her Excellency Alia Al Mazrouei participated in a roundtable with 12 SMEs from the UAE and
Germany to explore opportunities for cooperation in key technical and technological fields. She
emphasized the importance of expanding strategic partnerships between startups in both countries
to drive innovation in future sectors and to broaden the market reach of Emirati projects in Europe.
H.E. underscored that the strength of the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem lies in empowering
companies. She highlighted that investing in partnerships with European stakeholders is a
cornerstone of the UAE’s strategic expansion in the knowledge economy, aiming to increase
entrepreneurs’ success rates from 30 per cent to 50 per cent within the next decade.
Furthermore, Her Excellency briefed German private sector representatives on the UAE’s key
strategic enablers and exceptional opportunities in entrepreneurship and new economy sectors. She
highlighted the country’s success in creating an attractive and competitive investment
environment, underpinned by advanced digital infrastructure across multiple sectors, flexible
legislation that keeps pace with rapid innovation, and economic incentives — including 100 per
cent foreign ownership, tax incentives, and innovative financing solutions.
