and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development
Foundation (FDF), has lauded His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al
Nahyan, President of the UAE, for amending Law No. 11 of 2006 under the
provisions of Law No. 12 of 2024.
The amendment further bolsters the Family Development Foundation’s
dedication to enhancing social services, with a particular focus on senior
citizens.
The newly revised law emphasizes research and comprehensive care for
senior citizens, aligning with FDF’s strategic vision of fostering family and
societal well-being. Her Highness underscored the importance of senior
citizens as the cornerstone of the nation’s social fabric, expressing optimism
for a new chapter of excellence in improving their quality of life.
Her Highness highlighted the UAE’s commitment, under the leadership of
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to providing
sustainable services and advanced solutions to the needs of senior citizens.
“Our dedication is to implement more initiatives that improve their
standard of living through an integrated and sustainable social care system.
We aim to foster a healthy and enriching lifestyle, prioritizing psychological
and mental well-being for senior citizens and families alike,” said Her
Highness Sheikha Fatima.
Her Highness referenced the 2024 World Happiness Report, which
identified senior citizens as among the happiest demographics in the UAE.
This achievement reflects the effectiveness of the UAE’s strategic
development plans and leadership’s focus on human dignity, community
integration, and the comprehensive care of all residents.
The Family Development Foundation remains committed to launching
innovative initiatives that meet the needs and aspirations of families and
