Dubai Launches Intellectual Property Hub To
Empower Innovators And Enhance Business

The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the UAE Ministry of Economy have introduced the Dubai
Intellectual Property Hub (DIPH). This is the UAE's first centralised platform for intellectual property
(IP) and intangible assets (IA). It aims to support innovators, artists, entrepreneurs, researchers,
academics, and startups. The announcement was made at the "IP2024: Glimpse on the Future of
IP" event held at the Museum of the Future.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the UAE Ministry of Economy and DFF
during the event. Present at the signing were Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy; Alia
Abdulla Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship; Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Muaini, Assistant
Undersecretary for Intellectual Property Rights Sector at the Ministry of Economy; and Khalfan
Belhoul, CEO of DFF.
The new hub will integrate the Ministry of Economy’s feature for registering IA into its system. This
integration aims to strengthen Dubai’s role as a technology centre. Entrepreneurs, innovators,
