H.E. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, SLC Secretary General,

on Accession Day of the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan

               5 August, 2024:

“The Accession Day of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan marks a pivotal milestone

in the history of the United Arab Emirates and serves as an opportunity to remember the
legacy of a leader who laid the solid foundations of an advanced country through his proactive

approach and future vision. He, alongside his fellow founding fathers, laid the cornerstone of
the Union, marking the beginning of an ambitious journey of growth, progress, and prosperity.

On this auspicious occasion, we draw inspiration from his legacy of generosity, tolerance, and

humanitarian work. Our founding father left his humanitarian imprints across the globe with
numerous development, urban, service, educational, and health projects standing as a

testament to his humanitarian and philanthropic approach.

Today, the United Arab Emirates stands as a shining example of development, progress, and
sustainability, inspired by the prudent approach of our founding father. The UAE continues to

enhance its global leadership under the visionary outlook of our wise leaders.

We, at the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC), are honoured to

join our nation in commemorating the Accession Day of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al
Nahyan, reaffirming our commitment to follow his footsteps and continue developing a

legislative system that aligns with our nation’s aspirations and supports its growth and
               progress.”
