By Yousra Zaki December 27, 2024

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has officially declared Wednesday
January 1, 2025, as a public holiday for government departments in Dubai, in celebration of New
        Year’s Day.

This holiday will give employees in the public sector a well-deserved break, marking the beginning of
        the New Year.

Work will resume as usual on Thursday January 2.

However, government entities, departments and institutions that operate on shift systems or are
involved in providing public services, such as those managing public facilities, are exempt from this
        holiday.

These organizations have the authority to adjust their working hours based on operational needs to
ensure the continuous delivery of public services during the holiday period.

        during public holidays.

The New Year’s holiday offers an opportunity for people across Dubai to celebrate the occasion with
        family and friends.

        Happy New Year all.
