Salik profit down 4.1% despite record toll revenue
Salik cited the increase in the number of tourists to Dubai has been cited
as one of the factors in revenue growth.
Last week the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism announced at
the annual Arabian Travel Market that the number of visitors to the emirate
rose 11 percent to 5.2 million in the first three months of 2024.
Salik expects its full-year 2024 revenue-generating trips to increase in the
range of 4 to 6 percent year on year.
“We continue to thrive in our core tolling business and remain focused on
diversifying our portfolio through the expansion of ancillary revenue
streams,” said Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of Salik.
Al Tayer added that two new gates are expected to be operational in Dubai
by November.
