Bentley Systems (Nasdaq: BSY), an Exton, PA-based infrastructure engineering software
company, acquired Cesium, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based 3D geospatial company.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Led by CEO Patrick Cozzi, Cesium provides an open platform for 3D Geospatial. It created 3D
Tiles, the Open Geospatial Consortium community standard for streaming massive 3D
geospatial datasets, which can be used to optimize, host, and combine data with 3D content
and stream to any device. With expertise at the intersection of 3D geospatial and computer
graphics, Cesium is committed to openness and interoperability through open standards, open
APIs, and open source offerings like CesiumJS, Cesium for Unreal, Cesium for Unity, and
Cesium for Omniverse. Originally built for Aerospace, it is now used to empower applications in
industries like defense, architecture, engineering, construction and operations, commercial real
               estate, urban planning, and more.
Led by CEO Nicholas Cumins, Bentley Systems is an infrastructure engineering software
company. Its software solutions are used by professionals, and organizations of every size, for
the design, construction, and operations of roads and bridges, rail and transit, water and
wastewater, public works and utilities, buildings and campuses, mining, and industrial facilities.
Its offerings, epowered by the iTwin Platform for infrastructure digital twins, include MicroStation
and Bentley Open applications for modeling and simulation, Seequent’s software for
geoprofessionals, and Bentley Infrastructure Cloud encompassing ProjectWise for project
delivery, SYNCHRO for construction management, and AssetWise for asset operations.

The combination of Cesium plus iTwin offers developers a comprehensive digital platform for
               the built and natural environment.

With the acquisition, Cozzi was named Bentley’s chief platform officer, leading the development
