President Déby expressed his appreciation to Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE’s hosting of the
forum, noting that its outcomes mark a significant advance in bilateral relations, especially
related to investment and the economy.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice
President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Khaled Bin
Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Saif Bin Mohammed Al
Nahyan; Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed
Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy
Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Khalid
Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Higher Organisation for
People of Determination; Sheikh Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman
of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affair; Sheikh Hamdan Bin
Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs;
Sheikh Zayed Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Sultan Bin Hamadan Al Nahyan,
Adviser to the UAE President; Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance
and Coexistence; Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE
President; and several Sheikhs, ministers, senior officials, citizens and guests.
Meanwhile, Mahamat Assileck Halata, Minister of Land Affairs, Housing Development and Town
Planning of Chad, affirmed that the UAE-Chad Trade and Investment Forum, being held in Abu
Dhabi, opens exceptional prospects for his country and offers an opportunity to highlight its
potential as a promising destination for development and investment.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency, the minister said Chad seeks to build stronger ties with
the United Arab Emirates through the forum, underlining that the country’s natural and human
potential positions it to become a key economic hub in Central Africa.
He added that Chad is moving steadily towards achieving sustainable development, with vast
opportunities across sectors such as energy, trade, housing and manufacturing, making it an
attractive destination for investors worldwide.
The minister noted that the Chadian delegation participating in the forum includes a number of
ministers and officials seeking to establish new partnerships with both the government and
private sectors to attract capital and development projects.
Also, Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the
Republic of Chad to enhance bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the UAE and
Chad.
