Dubai’s status as a preferred destination for technology,
innovation and AI companies.
Mattar Al Tayer, Commissioner-General for
Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Well-Being Pillar -
Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive
Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority – Dubai,
confirmed that the vision of His Highness Sheikh
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has long
anticipated global trends in AI and digital
transformation. The AI Retreat, under the patronage of
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, bolsters the Dubai Government's efforts to
harness AI to improve the quality of life of its society,
enhance sustainability, and increase service efficiency,
aligning with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda
D33.
Al Tayer noted that the RTA hosts one of the largest big
data platforms in the country, in terms of storage
capacity, which has been integrated with Dubai
Government's institutional AI platform. This integration
leverages historical data to develop applications that
address the RTA's strategic and operational needs, such
