Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, described the MoU

as a milestone that aligns with the emirate’s aspirations outlined in Ajman

Vision 2030. Khaleel Alhashmi stated that, “Through this agreement, we aim

to strengthen cooperation with Chongqing Municipality in ways that serve

both parties, contribute to the expansion of a sustainable tourism

ecosystem, promote cultural understanding, and build long-term

institutional relationships based on knowledge and experience exchange.”

Alhashmi reaffirmed ADTD’s dedication to developing Ajman’s tourism

sector in line with global best practices, positioning the emirate as a

competitive and sustainable destination for investment and travel.

The agreement underlines both sides’ dedication to enhancing cultural ties

and fostering mutual growth in the tourism sector, particularly as China

continues to play a vital role as a strategic partner of the UAE across various

industries.

This partnership is expected to promote tourism flows, support joint

promotional initiatives, and pave the way for deeper collaboration between

Ajman and Chongqing in the years ahead.
