Sheikh Ammar also visited the Three Gorges Museum in China. This museum is a significant
cultural landmark dedicated to preserving China's historical heritage. During his tour, he learned
about its interactive features spread over 30,000 square meters. These include rare artifacts, digital
displays, and virtual reality experiences attracting over two million visitors annually.
The museum offers educational programmes aimed at youth and school students to instill values
of heritage and national identity. Sheikh Ammar expressed admiration for how it preserves historical
civilisation using modern interactive methods. "Preserving historical civilisation and presenting it to
future generations through modern interactive means is a pillar of national identity building," he
said.
Promoting Cultural Cooperation
Sheikh Ammar emphasised the importance of cultural cooperation among nations for enhancing
mutual understanding. He noted that such cooperation builds bridges of cultural communication
between countries. The Three Gorges Museum has received several honorary titles and is classified
under the AAAA category as one of China's exemplary models in cultural innovation and public
service.
Accompanying Sheikh Ammar during these visits were Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi,
Chairman of Ajman Department of Tourism Development; Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al
Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of Ajman Sports Club; along with senior officials from Ajman government.
The visits highlighted how urban planning can integrate engineering with culture while preserving
heritage through innovative methods. These efforts contribute to building sustainable cities and
fostering international cultural ties.
