SAUDI ARABIA— The CardioScience Department at Saudi German Hospital (SGH)
Dammam has marked several significant milestones in the realm of advanced

cardiac procedures.

Since the launch of its advanced cardiac services at the beginning of 2024, the department
has made impressive strides, highlighting its dedication to enhancing cardiac care and

patient outcomes.

One of the standout achievements is the successful completion of the Transcatheter Aortic
Valve Implantation (TAVI), a procedure that has quickly become a cornerstone of their
advanced cardiac offerings.

This minimally invasive technique is used to replace a narrowed aortic valve, offering a
promising solution for patients who are not candidates for traditional open-heart surgery.

In addition to the TAVI success, the department has also achieved notable results with the
Ampella-guided high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
