The meeting discussed the reality of sport in schools and universities and actions
needed to promote it by providing the right environment for talent discovery, as
well as to develop long-term plans in which the education sector works together
with the sport sector, to develop a talent discovery mechanism that paves the way
for them to achieve global success.

Falasi, who heads the federation’s board of directors, said: “The new federation
reflects the concerted national efforts of the authority, the education sector and

all strategic partners to strengthen the sports action system through the
development of a mechanism to discover and strengthen sports talent in schools
and.” universities.

“This is done to support the country’s sports teams with new talent and to provide
the best opportunities to bring UAE sport a more prosperous future. The
association also wants to strengthen the coordination between different
educational institutions in the field of sport.”

The federation aims for a large size of the segment in all schools and improves the opportunities to
discover highly gifted sports talent.
