the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), in
partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), will

host the 9th edition of the Knowledge Summit on November 18-19, 2024,
at the Dubai World Trade Center. The theme for the Knowledge Summit is

‘Future Skills and AI Economy.’

As a premier global platform, the Knowledge Summit brings together
thought leaders, experts, and innovators to examine critical topics

surrounding knowledge, future skills, and the knowledge-based economy.
The Knowledge Summit aims to encourage international cooperation in

innovation and knowledge sharing, addressing global challenges while

promoting sustainable development.

Global knowledge and AI at the Forefront

His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the MBRF, emphasized the
summit’s role in specifying Dubai as a hub of innovation, stating that, “The

Knowledge Summit continues to position Dubai as a center of knowledge
dissemination, sharing best practices to help societies transition to

knowledge-based economies, which directly donates to improving living
standards and achieving a sustainable future.”

This year’s summit will also unveil the Global Knowledge Index 2024, a vital

tool for shaping national strategies in education, innovation, and

technology. The index spotlights key strengths and areas of improvement
across various sectors, further guiding policymakers in sustainable

development.

UNESCO congress and awards ceremony

For the first time in the Arab world, the 3rd UNESCO World OER Congress
will be held during the Knowledge Summit, drawing around 500 ministers,

senior officials, and sector leaders from education, digital services, and
communications.

The Knowledge Summit will also honor the champions of the prestigious

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award, identifying

significant contributions to global knowledge, education, and innovation,
further driving sustainable development.
