               The MoU signifies a key milestone in the UAE's efforts to expand its
               international cooperation and foster dialogue and collaboration with relevant
               global organisations and institutions in the field of IP. It will reinforce the UAE's
               position as a prominent hub for the new economy, while also striving for
               excellence and competitiveness in innovation and IP rights protection. These

               efforts align with the objectives outlined in 'We the UAE 2031' vision.

               Under the terms of the MoU, spanning a period of five years, both sides will
               cooperate to share knowledge about intellectual property systems and

               practices in line with international standards. Another objective is combatting
               infringements on intellectual property rights of commercial goods.

               The partnership also includes training and developing nationals, ensuring they
               stay well-informed about the latest technological advancements and digital

               resources, thereby enhancing their understanding of contemporary intellectual
               property practices.


               The UAE has been actively working on strengthening its regional and
               international cooperation in IP rights protection. This has been accomplished
               through its participation in various international agreements and treaties such
               as the 'Nice Agreement,' and the 'Madrid Protocol'.


               Additionally, the UAE has joined the 'Budapest Treaty', which plays a crucial
               role in supporting innovations and fostering a conducive environment for
               scientific research related to microorganisms. The country has also acceded
               to the 'Strasbourg Agreement,' which aims to promote and classify patents

               according to a standardised international classification.

               UAE's IP sector witnesses continued growth

               The UAE's IP sector continues to experience growth with positive outcomes

               and indicators that reflect the effectiveness of the economic legislation,
               initiatives, and projects launched and announced to develop and enhance this
