The Ministry recorded a 2.8 per cent rise in the submission of patent and utility certificate applications in the
first half of 2024, as compared to the corresponding period in 2023. In the previous year, a total of 3,415
patent and utility certificate applications were received, reflecting a growth rate of 19.5 per cent compared to
2022. Between 2019 and 2023, the UAE recorded a total of 12,521 patent and utility certificate applications.
