2024 with 4% growth

Abu Dhabi, June 15 (BNA): The UAE’s real gross domestic product (GDP) reached AED1.77 trillion in 2024, growing by 4% compared to 2023.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), this strong performance was mainly driven by non-oil
sectors, which grew by 5% to AED1.34 trillion, raising their contribution to 75.5% of the total GDP. Oil-
related activities contributed AED434 billion.
The fastest-growing sector was transport and storage, up 9.6%, supported by record airport activity with
147.8 million passengers, a rise of about 10%.
The construction sector grew by 8.4% due to increased investment in urban infrastructure. Financial and
insurance activities grew by 7%, hospitality (hotels and restaurants) by 5.7%, and real estate activities by
4.8%.
In terms of non-oil GDP contribution: trade accounted for 16.8%, manufacturing for 13.5%, financial and
insurance activities for 13.2%, construction for 11.7%, and real estate for 7.8%.
