Investopia Global Talks to be held in Cyprus to strengthen new
economy collaboration and investment partnerships with
Mediterranean business communities
Total investment flows from Cyprus to the UAE exceeded AED420 million
between 2020 and 2024

In the presence of H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of
Investopia, Investopia announced the launch of a new edition of its Global Talks series, titled
‘Investopia Global – Mediterranean.’ The inaugural edition will be held next week in Cyprus,
aiming to foster dialogue and collaboration across key sectors of the new economy, including
tourism, entrepreneurship, innovation, energy, renewable energy, fintech, and transport and
logistics. The event will bring together regional and global investment communities to explore
contemporary trends in investment and financing within the Mediterranean and European markets,
while highlighting emerging opportunities that connect the UAE with strategic markets in the
region.
Held in collaboration with IMH, the event forms part of the broader economic and investment
partnership between the UAE and Cyprus. It underscores Investopia’s role as a national platform
that supports investors and companies in exploring opportunities in new markets, while also
attracting further investment into the UAE. Prominent figures, including ministers, government
officials, decision makers, businessmen, experts, investors and entrepreneurs, will participate in
the event, alongside representatives from many private sector companies and financial institutions
in the UAE, Cyprus, and Europe.
The inaugural edition of Investopia Global – Mediterranean will feature a series of panel
discussions and roundtable meetings focused on leveraging the strategic location of the UAE and
Mediterranean countries as key economic gateways. The event aims to enhance joint investment
and trade exchanges, while opening new avenues for economic growth at both regional and global
levels. Discussions will also address mechanisms to strengthen cooperation between the Emirati
and Cypriot business communities and stimulate investment in sectors aligned with the new
economy and sustainability. Additionally, the agenda will explore opportunities for the growth of
small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), review ways for companies to capitalize on active
mutual investments between the UAE and Cyprus and examine current global economic
