Dubai has announced a major shift in the government sector: a 4-day work week and shorter
daily hours.
The new policy will apply to select government departments starting next month. Officials say
the change is designed to improve employee well-being, reduce burnout, and increase
overall productivity.
Under the new model, employees will work Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off.
Working hours will also be reduced to 32 hours per week instead of the standard 40.
