The UAE has emerged as a leader in various global competitiveness indicators within the

civil aviation sector.

According to the World Economic Forum’s Travel & Tourism Development Index 2024, the country
ranked 1st worldwide in the "Quality of Air Transport Infrastructure" indicator, and 3rd globally in

"Efficiency of Air Transport Services" as well as "Available Airline Seat Kilometres - millions/week"
indicators.

The UAE is also ranked 1st in the Middle East and North Africa region for the "Number of Operating

Airlines" and "Air Transport Agreements" indicators.

Meanwhile, in the Global Competitiveness Report 2023 released by the International Institute for
Management Development, the UAE achieved the global top ranking in the "Quality of Air Transport"
