Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of its
Publicity Department, visited the UAE House pavilion, underscoring the strong cultural
connections between the two nations.

During his visit, Li explored various sections of the pavilion, received detailed information
about important Emirati publications, and reviewed examples of collaborative cultural
projects. He praised the pavilion’s organisation and creative presentation.

This involvement reflects the UAE’s wider strategy to boost its global cultural influence and
deepen cooperation with international partners, especially in the knowledge and creative
fields.

The Beijing International Book Fair featured over 1,700 exhibitors from 80 countries and
regions, presenting 220,000 Chinese and international books and hosting more than 1,000
cultural events. The fair attracted upwards of 300,000 visitors from 110 countries and regions.
